Mindset + Manifestation Oils

Would you believe me if I told you I never believed in using oils for this kind of thing? The idea that using some sort of scented something could actually improve my mood, could expand my vision, could help me heal emotionally… that’s crazy talk, right?  I thought so. But when I was faced with a lot of stress, worry and change (moving three times in our daughter’s first 18 months) plus the sudden and unexpected grief and loss of my dad and uncle…there were moments when I needed all the comfort, grounding, deep breaths I could get. I needed help thinking logically, I needed help going to sleep, and I became more open to using essential oils in this way.  I was so grateful for any ounce of comfort I could give myself and provide for my loved ones around me.

How can oils provide emotional comfort?  The science behind how essential oils’ impact and benefit our emotional health lies mainly in the aromatherapy / smell factor. However, there are several studies that show the emotional impacts of using oils like lavender internally in capsules… so it’s not ONLY the sense of smell but that’s how most of us are introduced to the whole idea.

The sense of smell is profoundly impactful in our everyday lives.  Just ask anyone you know who has temporarily lost their sense of smell… it can be disorienting, depressing, disassociating…and with as much as is “known” about the human body, we’re only just starting to understand the intricacies of our many olfactory neurons and how they impact our brain chemistry.  The proximity of the nasal cavity and the olfactory bulb to the limbic system of the brain is what I’d call a happy accident or maybe divine intervention. It is all right there - memories, emotions, sleep, hormones… right at the tippity-top of the nasal cavity.  So this is how smell can impact our emotions directly. One I want to highlight is that the sense of smell is the ONLY sense that does not pass through the frontal cortex first. It goes directly into our emotional seat… providing powerful and instantaneous benefits for truly any mood or situation.

Here I am going to be focusing on the Mindset + Manifestation oils that can accompany you on the journey to becoming your higher self.  One thing I want you to know is that oils are extremely high in frequency. They are literally good vibes in a bottle… which is because they buzz at frequencies greater than our own frequency. Rolling them on, diffusing them, just being around them, creates a higher frequency environment for learning, playing, living, breathing, coping, healing. So if you’re thinking about your vision for your life, your goals, dreams, resolutions, hopes, fears, doubts, limiting beliefs… having pure, premium essential oils around is a very good way to open your mind, up your vibration, and create space for positivity and progress in your life - whatever your unique goals and dreams are.

What are some of those oils? Let’s go through my favorites!

VALOR

This is at the top of the list because… let’s be honest - you have to have COURAGE to do this work. Valor is also the foundation of many oil techniques and protocols including the Raindrop Technique, the Feelings Kit Protocol, Gary’s Great Day Protocol…I think this because Valor balances the body’s energy and helps us prepare the body to receive, to move through our feelings, to rest, to flow.  Valor helps us draw upon our internal resources, building our strength and self-esteem. It works on both of the physical and spiritual aspects of the body.

A great way to start using this oil is on your feet at night.  You could also start with a drop of Valor on your wrists in the morning (or any time of day) – hold your left wrist over your right at the center of your body and deeply breathe, ground down iinto the Earth and notice the thoughts and sensations that come up. This is a POWERFUL oil and a fan-favorite… it’s in the Premium Starter Bundle after all! Valor contains: Coconut oil, Black Spruce, Camphor, Blue Tansy, Frankincense and Geranium. It has a beautifully balanced aroma that is woodsy, sweet, earthy, uplifting and soothing all at once.

TRANSFORMATION

Obviously we are talking a bit about the concept of transformation here, but did you know that there is an oil created with that in mind?  YES!  Transformation is one of my favorites - it’s not floral like many of the other purple / “emotional” oils.  It is a bright, fresh, cleansing blend of Lemon, Peppermint, Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, Idaho Blue Spruce, Cardamom, Ocotea, Palo Santo. Use Transformation oil in the diffuser, daily during meditation or on your body as perfume, to help you uphold the changes you want to make.  There are some great “clearing” oils in this blend to help you replace limiting beliefs and negative emotions with joy, hope, courage and empowerment, and anchor new mental programming for a revitalized mindset and positive outlook.

ABUNDANCE

Abundance is a blend that resonates with the frequency of prosperity and plentitude..yes please!  Abundance contains Orange, Frankincense, Patchouli, Clove, Ginger, Myrrh, Cinnamon Bark, Black Spruce. Use Abundance oil to manifest prosperity in all aspects of life and foster harmony, joy and peace. It has a spicy and rich aroma and the oils in it are synergistically powerful.  Wear it daily (you may want to dilute as it’s spicy), pop it into a roller with a floral like Rose (hello high vibes!), sniff it from the bottle or diffuse before a job interview or salary negotiation.  I’ve definitely put some Abundance into the paint bucket before we’ve painted a room in the house... we even put a few drops on our mortgage documents. Surround yourself with this one, however you can. You can also sweeten this one up by adding lavender, orange, lemon or peppermint to the diffuser… or diffuse it on it’s own.

HUMILITY

Humility is a blend of Coriander, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Geranium, Melissa, Frankincense, Myrrh, Northern Lights Black Spruce, Vetiver, Neroli, Rose in a base of coconut oil. It is somewhat sweet and floral, but a very unique oil to have in your collection.  It’s not very “popular” – which is interesting. I think people underestimate the importance of humility…which is why I wanted to highlight it here. Gary Young believed that humility was a key aspect of transformation. Humility is awareness, it is forgiveness, it is reflecting and looking in the mirror honestly.  It is also protection from emotional exhaustion and self-criticism…using Humility oil is a great foundation for self-love, contentment, faith and self-worth. It also helps us with feeling proud of our accomplishments, honest and curious about our setbacks. This is known as the “I am enough” blend.

BELIEVE

You can experience the beauty of the “tree oils” with a gorgeous blend called BELIEVE.  The conifer/evergreen oils like Idaho Grand Fir, Cedarwood, Black Spruce, Blue Spruce are known to help us release our emotional blocks and clear negative thoughts…they have extremely high frequencies too.  Believe essential oil blend contains Idaho Grand Fir, Coriander, Bergamot, Frankincense, Idaho Blue Spruce, Ylang Ylang, and Geranium. Believe was created to help fortify and calm the mind, and to generate feelings of steadfast strength and determination. We must believe in ourselves and our goals, and often we need a little help along the way! This is hands DOWN one of my top ten favorite oils; my husband uses it every morning along with Valor. You can use Believe in so many ways. Diffuse it with a citrus oil or on its own… dreamy. Try it with Lime and Grapefruit. Drop this onto your wrists and behind my ears.  You might douse your head in a “Believe shower” or drop a few drops into the actual shower as you get ready for the day.

INSPIRATION

This is a seasonal/limited availability oil but I had to mention it here because it’s so special and you might want to grab it the next time it’s available!  The Inspiration blend includes oils traditionally to enhance spirituality and inner awareness, and its purpose is to create a calm space in our mind to bring us closer to our creative center. Inspiration releases feelings of stuckness and sluggishness too.  It contains Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Myrtle, Black Spruce, Coriander, Frankincense, Vetiver, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Geranium.  One way to use it: apply over the third eye and throat chakras to release blocks and open energy flow.

HOPE

Any mindset or manifestation work requires that we restore and carry hope for the future and that we create a renewed sense of purpose and vision and capacity for growth in our lives.  Hope is essential for moving forward in life, and this oil has had a tremendous impact on me and some of my loved ones during some very challenging times. Hopelessness means that there is a loss of vision for one’s life; it is the absence of goals and dreams. This blend of Melissa, Juniper, Myrrh and Black Spruce in a base of almond oil reconnects to feelings of strength and grounding, helping us take the next step. Melissa oil is also found in the Forgiveness blend which is part of the Feelings Collection (another blog for another day) but I really think those two emotions work hand-in-hand.

HIGHEST POTENTIAL

HP is a very interesting blend with a show-stopping ingredient list: Blue Cypress, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Cedarwood, Geranium, Lavender, Northern Lights Black Spruce, Frankincense, Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, White Fir, Vetiver, Cinnamon Bark, Davana, Citrus Hystrix, Rose, German Chamomile, Blue Tansy, Grapefruit, Tangerine, Spearmint, Lemon, Ocotea. If you’ve ever wanted to try 20+ oils at once, this is a great way to do it. But this oil is SO special too. It helps to elevate the mind and helps us gather mental energy so we can make a plan and take action toward our highest potential.  Doing a vision board workshop or a goal-setting session?  Applying for a new position or thinking about making moves in a new direction?  This oil is a great one to bring into the mix… apply it, diffuse it, smell it. Gary Young recommended Valor and Highest Potential on the feet every night to wake up refreshed, confident, full of ideas and ready to take action…so after you get into the groove with Valor, add this one into your routine!

Ok… those are eight wonderful blends I use and recommend for mindset and manifestation!  I’d love to know which ones you’re going to try next. If you’d like to purchase these oils you can view my yl wishlist below:

Incorporating “mindset” and “manifesting” oils might mean…

  • using aromatherapy to get quiet with a breathing or meditative routine

  • getting tuned into our physical bodies and our intuitive Knowing

  • utilizing the limbic system to bring up and release negative memories, emotions and limiting beliefs instead of repressing them

  • calming our minds to receive and be in flow instead of force

  • attending to the power of intention though spoken word and inner voice

  • developing awareness, vision and belief through journaling and reflection

Remember that oils are just one part of the equation. They help us with self-awareness and intentions, they’re high in frequency, they help pattern-interrupt our BS - but they’re not going to fix your entire life in one drop. Thanks for reading and please share this with a friend you know would enjoy it!
